"29 Chalsey Road has been a very happy home for us for more than ten years. Our pride and joy is the extension that we built to create an open plan kitchen and living space, with doors that open onto the garden. It's a lovely light-filled space that we spend pretty much all of our time in! The garden is Westerly facing so light pours into the extension throughout most of day, and in summer evenings we sit out and catch the last of the sun. The garden has apple blossom in Spring and jasmine, roses and hibiscus as the months get warmer. There are lots of lovely mature trees along the back gardens which adds to the peace and tranquillity. In the flat the three bedrooms have lots of period features and are full of character. We have put in double glazed sash windows, so along with the underfloor heating in the extension, it's really cosy all year round.
The local area is another big plus. The fantastic Hilly Fields park is just a few minutes walk away, with plenty to explore including a cafe and stone circle, and wonderful views of SE London and beyond. Brockley is a great local area with cafes, restaurants and bars aplenty. It's also a short train ride into town. The area is great for families which is one of the many reasons we've stayed for so long, with great schools, parks and nearby outings, like the Horniman Museum. There is also a thriving local community, with the local festival Brockley Max each summer. We will be sad to go when we move North to be nearer to family, but will have many many happy memories."
