I love the road with its characteristic townhouses, its location to Westcombe Park station (a mere 60-second walk from the front door was a major draw card), closely followed by the proximity to the boutiques, cafés and brasseries of Blackheath. Walk across the heath to the Princess of Wales, where many Six Nations rugby games have been watched with friends.
If you want a good pub even closer to the apartment, then meeting friends in the Royal Standard (5-minute walk) was always good fun and extremely convenient! Even closer than that, at the bottom of the road is the most amazing Nepalese restaurant, The Royal Nepalese; it MUST be sampled to be believed! The excellent Vanbrugh Pub is also only a convenient 10-minute walk away.
The fantastic transport links means you dont need a car while living here. The mainline train station takes you straight into Cannon Street in 19 minutes, or alternatively jump on the 108 or 335 bus and five minutes later youre at the Odeon cinema in North Greenwich. Another five minutes and youre at the O2 and the North Greenwich Peninsula Golf Range / shopping peninsula.
If you do have a car it doesnt take long before you are on the A12, A2 or M25 and onwards to a trip out of London for the day / weekend.
Mycenae Road is a little community in itself and you can understand why it is one of the most desirable roads in the area to live in when you move here. The neighbours are all very friendly although and I will be sad to say goodbye to my first-time buy, I am hopeful that someone will find as much joy and happiness living here as I did."
