"We had been looking over a year for our family home, an architect, mother and daughters.

From the front door, spacious hall and into the staircase and kitchen beyond we were smitten. We loved the features, fireplaces and how much decompressed space there was to live and breathe in. It lasted 18 years and now reluctantly it's another family's opportunity to enjoy and make their own.

The big staircase at the heart of the house is a focus and gives equal access to all rooms. The rooms at the front and the back are therefore all the same (no Victorian little back rooms)- all are equal and you can live where you want. So we did.

You can live at ground next to the kitchen - dining room but we planned to have formal living at the 1st front and easy living at 1st back, with a short staircase onto the SW facing terrace and garden. Through in/out living. (but our eldest had other plans as her bedroom). There are so many ways you can enjoy this house.
