About this property
*** Guide Price £900,000 - £1,000,000 ***
These whopping semi-detached houses don't come up too often in the Ladywell Conservation Area, especially this architectural type with the staircases running through the middle of the property, allowing for a lovely layout with some super room sizes.
The home sits on a nice wide plot and offers incredibly versatile accommodation and benefits a 50' westerly aspect rear garden.
At 1750 Sq Ft, this beauty certainly won't disappoint for size.
The beautiful open spaces of Hilly Fields are found nearby along with the expanding popular selection of eateries in Ladywell Village.
The busy commuter will be spoilt for choice being ideally placed for Ladywell & Lewisham stations, whilst for those looking at schools, the choice according to Ofsted is Good & Outstanding.
'What The Seller Says'
"We had been looking over a year for our family home, an architect, mother and daughters.
From the front door, spacious hall and into the staircase and kitchen beyond we were smitten. We loved the features, fireplaces and how much decompressed space there was to live and breathe in. It lasted 18 years and now reluctantly it's another family's opportunity to enjoy and make their own.
The big staircase at the heart of the house is a focus and gives equal access to all rooms. The rooms at the front and the back are therefore all the same (no Victorian little back rooms)- all are equal and you can live where you want. So we did.
You can live at ground next to the kitchen - dining room but we planned to have formal living at the 1st front and easy living at 1st back, with a short staircase onto the SW facing terrace and garden. Through in/out living. (but our eldest had other plans as her bedroom). There are so many ways you can enjoy this house. (we never got round to a master bedroom/balcony in the big attic - we didn't need it).
Sun rises into the front bedroom and sun sets at the back over the garden
It was built by the church with formal front room and front door for visitors and side entrance for the residents it was a building of social importance one of only 2 similar buildings on the road and one of 2 remaining complete single occupancy homes within them.
Over our time Lewisham has seen dramatic changes and close, excellent train links now also have good DLR and plans for the Bakerloo extension are well advanced too. Lewisham remains the strong town centre high street, 8 minutes from Algernon Road Conservation Area and local life has been greatly enriched over the last 10 years by exciting local transformations with new and vibrant local shops/enterprises, restaurants and bars generally and in Ladywell Village at the end of the road, Brockley and the well- known Brockley market.
It's a really friendly neighbourhood and we hope to stay in this area. It offers a lot and invites you in!"
